Proline's workflow execution in Proline Web

This tutorial describes a full work cycle with Proline using its Web interface (called “Proline Web”). If you want to get a global overview of the workflow in Proline, take a look at this page.

Open Proline Web

To open Proline Web you'll need to use a recent and up-to-date Web Browser (like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome). Once it's started, enter the URL of your Proline Web's server (i.e : http://server-name:9000). Ask the right adress to your administrator.

Log in with the user name and password your administrator provided, and click on the “Start” button in the bottom-left corner, then open the “Dataset Explorer” app by clicking on its name.

Note: if you don't see the “Dataset Explorer” app in the Start Menu, you'll need to install it from the “App Library”, whose button is placed on the upper-right side of the Start Menu panel.

Register and Pair Raw & MzDB files

If you plan to launch quantitation analyses, you need to register your Raw Files into Proline's database (after acquisition) and pair them to their corresponding MzDB file.

In Proline Web, this is done by accessing the “Settings” panel of the Dataset Explorer, on the “Raw File Registerer” tab.

  • In the left grid, use the “Add Raw Files to Selection” button in order to select Raw Files
  • In the right grid, use the “Add MzDB Files to Selection” button in order to select MzDB Files
  • You can then make automatic pairs, based on file names, by clicking on the “Make Couples from RAW Files” button. This will automatically add matching files into the “Raw & MzDB Couples” grid.
