Iron-Sulfur ProteHome

The Iron-Sulfur ProteHome website is a resource housing lists of iron-sulfur proteins predicted from bacterial genomes. Currently, the website contains a full list of predicted iron-sulfur (Fe-S) proteins from over 550 complete prokaryotic proteomes (Bacteria and Archaea). Fe-S protein prediction was performed using a linear model combining weighted Fe-S protein descriptors (e.g. patterns, conserved and structural domains, tailored profile HMMs). Predicted Fe-S proteins can either be retrieved through the download area (menu to the right) or through the query interface by specifying an organism or protein identifier (see below).
